Google has officially unveiled the latest version of the OS Android Oreo on August 21, 2017. Android Oreo is the official name of the Android 8.0. Android O is smarter, faster, and more powerful than ever. It comes with new features like picture-in-picture and Autofill to help you navigate tasks seamlessly. Plus, it’s got stronger security protections and speed improvements that keep you safe and moving at light speed. The latest version will be available for smartphones all over the world.
As always, the update won’t come at the same time for everyone. Google might be the company that develops Android, but your phone manufacturer has a lot to do with the software before it can get to your phone. Less than 15 percent of Android users are on the current build, by now, so, it will be interesting to see which smartphones are compatible with the Android 8.0.
Here is a list of smartphones which will get the Oreo, check if your mobile is on the list
1. Pixel, Nexus devices
If you are a Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player and Pixel C tablet user and had installed the Android beta build, you should get the Android Oreo final version by now. But if you did not have the beta build, you will have to wait, as Google is still working on the final build.
2. Nokia smartphones
The company, during the launch of Nokia 8, had said that it will be one of the initial devices which will get Android Oreo. As promised the latest Android version will come to the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 devices too.
