Many people think of certain food as very healthy and consume them even when they are on diet, thinking there would be no harm. A couple of such foods have been jotted down for such consumers so that they can easily differentiate later that what should be eaten and what shouldn’t be. With a blurred line between healthy and unhealthy food, it has now become more than important to stay cautious.
1. Dried/Dehydrated fruits
Dried/ Dehydrated fruits are perceived as good inputs for better functioning of a human body and that’s the sole reason why parents give their kids a bunch of dried fruits every single day, but it isn’t the case. All the dried fruits are loaded with sugar. As the name goes, most of the water content in all the dried fruits gets removed by the time they are ready to be sold. This makes them less healthy for the body.
2. Flavored/frozen Yoghurt
Though plain packed yogurt isn’t unhealthy, but flavored yogurt is. As yogurt doesn’t come in any flavor naturally, so tons of artificial sugar and fruit flavors are added to make it look and taste authentic. Many people think that having frozen or flavored yogurt is way healthier than any other candy or ice cream, but it isn’t a healthier alternative. People have this misconception in their minds that because yogurt is manufactured from healthy ingredients
3. Vegetable/Fruit Chips
Having banana chips or potato chips isn’t a healthy way to take in fruits and vegetables. Though the source is healthy, but the processed food isn’t, and this is definitely not the right way to perceive such foods. One should be aware of the process that helps in the production of these chips. The concerned fruit or vegetable goes through a lot of steps to finally become the chips. All the nutrient and minerals get washed away in the process, leaving nothing for the chips, much more than the daily limits of a human body.
4. Diet Coke/Soda
