It is said that Serena Williams is a superwoman. Now the question is why it is said? It is, because of the US tennis player’s announcement that she is 20 weeks pregnant means she won her record-breaking 23rd and the most recent Grand Slam singles title at the Australian Open while eight weeks into her pregnancy, at the age of 35.
1. She is a trend setter
After the news flashed out on social media, both men and women claim she is the greatest of all time, and worthy of immense admiration. After coming out this encouraging news on media, women started to queue up to express their attempt to exercise. There are other women from different fields of sports, politics, entertainment, who have shown the courage like Serena Williams means they have achieved something great either in that pregnant condition or just after having a baby.
2. She proves women are not the weaker sex
Serena Williams’ news is enough to defy the notion that women are the weaker sex. Some people say that these women are super athletes and everyone cannot do, what they can. Many women are debilitated by pregnancy-related complications, and we mustn’t dismiss the seriousness of their condition.
And of course, holed up in one small corner are those claiming that this means Serena’s days of winning Grand Slam titles are done and dusted.
3. Move like a Superwoman
Do yoga, dance, Zumba or lift weights. Do it if you’re trying to get pregnant, are pregnant, once that baby comes out and even if you don’t want children. Get out there. Move. Sweat. Not to fit into a size zero or drop 10 pounds. But because life is better in so many ways when you do.
Another example of her stamina and courage when she chased a thief who had tried to steal her cell phone. Williams shared the story of her superhero move on Facebook, saying she was out to dinner with a friend when a man came over and stood silently next to her at the table.
The video, which was obtained by the different platform of media, shows that is indeed just what happened, as Willaims appears to effortlessly make her way through the crowd and is able to quickly catch up with the unidentified man.
And despite being the victim, Williams tried to give the idiot thief the benefit of the doubt.
These all deeds of Serena Williams are great examples of the women.
